" Clay at Go Real put together a fabulous trip for us to Prague, Vienna and Budapest. We spent 3 or 4 nights in each city. The self guided tour instructions and city maps were excellent, and our guides for the 3 hour walking tour in each city were on time, personable and informative about the history of the city and their country. We passed on the bone church outside of Prague and the all day trip for a river cruise from Vienna. Instead, we constructed our own venture, finding a park in Prague with a wine festival, and a long walk around Vienna neighborhoods. Our hotels were well located. All three provided a marvelous breakfast buffet. The Emblem hotel in Prague is the best experience we have ever had in a hotel. The concierge team is extraordinary, and their early evening gathering for guests, including free wine and beer, is a great event where we met and exchanged stories with many fellow travelers. The Hotel Sacher in Vienna also had a great concierge team. We were disappointed with the New York Palace (Boscolo Hotel) in Budapest. The room and furnishings were tired. The concierge was sometimes difficult to access, but did provide good service. Overall, Go Real put together a fabulous trip for us, and [...read more] "
" My husband and I traveled to Prague, Vienna, and Budapest September 22nd - October 3rd, 2018 and booked our trip through Go Real Europe. I cannot say enough good things about this company. From the initial planning to delivery everything was perfect. Their attention to detail is incredible. We were rookie Europe travelers and had no idea what we wanted or how to navigate Eastern Europe. Clay Copeland and his team guided us through every step of the journey from planning activities customized to our preferences, booking hotels, providing public transportation vouchers, and arranging local, English speaking guides. Prior to departure from the United States, we received a 100+ page, detailed itinerary with step by step (literally) instructions on navigating the cities, places to visit, must sees, how to use public transportation, etc. They were also available 24/7 to respond to any issues that may arise. We had a very minor snag at our Budapest hotel and I emailed Clay on a Sunday morning. Within an hour he had the situation resolved and called me to let me know. Unbelievable customer service. I had no prior knowledge of Go Real Europe; I found them on the web and booked based upon their positive reviews. I am pleased to be adding another positive review to their roster. We are already thinking about our next trip and will certainly book with Go Real [...read more] "
" Just returned from a "dream trip" to Central Europe. Go Real Europe was recommended to us by a friend. My husband and I are glad we used them to help us with our trip! They allowed us to enjoy our trip and sweat the small stuff. Everything was laid out for us, we had tickets for all the public transportation organized by country, maps of each city, step-by-step directions from our hotel to attractions, restaurants, public transportation and venues, we also had drivers pick us up and drop us off to and from rail stations and airports. We had guided tours of each city, everyone spoke English and guides provided excellent information from a fun perspective as well as historical, lots of information about the culture, food. Also, not knowing the languages it is comforting to know that Go Real Europe is a resource to go to in case something goes wrong. Our flight home was cancelled and we called them and they were prepared to try to help find a place to stay for the night and told us what we needed to do in order to execute our "Plan B." Beyond that our trip went without hitch, all the information they provided was accurate (including warnings) and we had no issues.Thomas Kirby our travel agent arranged for all our needs, wants and wishes as requested! We will definitely [...read more] "
" My wife and I recently returned from our jaunt to Poland, which focused on Warsaw and Krakow. It was a wonderful experience. It was my wife's first international trip; the detailed itinerary provided by Go Real Europe, as well as the excellent pick up arrangements at the airport, hotel and train stations put all of her concerns of a fulfilling trip to rest. As I read through the other reviews, I see others that have found Go Real Europe through chance like myself (Google) and have reaped the rewards of an awesome trip. Brendan reached out via e-mail soon after my search, and we ended up working with him to fine tune our trip that included guided tours and free days to wander on our own. The key here is private guided tours, which were excellent. We ran into several minor issues, which Brendan responded to quickly and worked out. Honestly, what we ran into would easily have been encountered in a domestic trip. We are looking forward to our next European trip, hopefully soon, and will be working with Brendan at Go Real Europe to get it set up. I also have planned trips before, coordinating all facets of it, but no more, it actually is much better with Go Real Europe [...read more] "
" My wife and I recently returned from a 15 day trip to Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest and Krakow. Clay Copeland of Go Real Europe (GRE) worked with us in planning our trip. Clay was great. He promptly and intelligently answered our questions and addressed our concerns. GRE's concept is wonderful. One completes an online questionnaire indicating the cities to be visited and desired interests and activities and hotel and inter-city travel preferences. A custom itinerary is then prepared and made available to you for consideration. The traveler can then revise and fine tune the itinerary to accommodate special preferences and changes. We added a guided bike ride in the Czech Republic countryside (with Petr who made it a special experience), a Danube afternoon river cruise outside of Vienna, and a free day in each of Berlin and Krakow (during which we undertook genealogical research). We traveled between most cities by train. Each transfer, whether from or to an airport or train station, was seamless. The drivers were on time and professional in all respects. We requested a private walking tour in each of the cities, but for Vienna. The guides were impressive, friendly, knowledgeable and informative. It was a pleasure spending time with each of them. GRE's suggested activities in each city were voluminous. We found that we could not visit all suggested venues and sights, but the descriptions of each activity provided by GRE helped us plan our days. We wanted to experience local transit between intracity locations. GRE provided us with local transport tickets, as well as location and use instructions that at first seemed complex, but were clear once you were physically at a location and were able to view the surroundings. We did not rely on GRE's restaurant recommendations, but for one in Vienna, which proved to be a special find. The only major glitch was a museum that we planned to visit that had a three day advance ticket purchase requirements of which we (and I guess GRE) were unaware. Instead we visited another museum which ended up being a highlight of the trip and preferable to the museum that we had originally intended to visit. We have previously traveled on organized tours. GRE allows you to abandon the regimented tour and "do it yourself". Their representatives are truly available by email and phone prior to departure and while travelling to answer questions. We hope to use their [...read more] "
" Martin Wagner from Go Real Europe planned our 15 day trip for us in Eastern Europe including Croatia, Czech Republic and the Netherlands. I can't praise Martin and the whole team at Go Real Europe enough. The hotels they booked for us were comfortable and located to best access the amenities of each city we visited. There was a local guide that met us in each city to give us a tour of their city and the local perspective we wouldn't have gotten just being there as a tourist. These guides, Tony, Veros, Teresa and Marta created lasting memories for us. The drivers who made sure we arrived at our hotels and got to the airport on time to catch our flights were all amazing. We had a no mishaps until it was time to leave for home and were notified the evening before that our next morning flight out of Amsterdam had been cancelled. We had to book an earlier flight and instead of getting picked up at 7:30am, we needed a pick up from our hotel at 5:30am. I called Go Real Europe and they contacted the transfer company to change the pick up time and then called me to assure me it was taken care of. That is customer service! Lastly, Martin prepared a complete itinerary that I was able to print out with other optional things to do in each city including detailed instructions and maps. We had a fabulous, worry free vacation! I will definitely use Go Real Europe to plan my [...read more] "
" Jared at Go Real Europe arranged a delightfully memorable trip for 3 of us (a couple plus a friend) in October. We visited Budapest, Vienna and Salzburg. All the directions and instructions were thorough and well thought out, down to the smallest detail - it was great to have public transport tickets provided for the cities along with detailed instructions on how to use them. The guided tours were especially fine, and the guides both knowledgeable and enjoyable to be with. Also the self-guided suggestions were very helpful in seeing the highlights in each place. I am grateful to Jared for encouraging us to visit Berchtesgaden; it was picture-postcard alpine scenery and well worth the trip. Our hotels were very comfortable (the one in Vienna was elegant!) and all provided excellent breakfasts. Our travelling companion would have liked more participation in room selection (as single rooms can be unpredictable); but happily the choices were very satisfactory. We had one hiccup in Salzburg when we found that the room for the couple had been booked for the wrong nights; however the hotel had space and we were accommodated in a very short time. We loved the trip! I would recommend Go Real Europe for a trouble-free and exciting travel experience. We hope [...read more] "
" Simply the best! My wife and I have traveled to Europe on a number of occasions and have put together the trips on our own. We decided to take a flyer and put our adventure plans in the hands of Go Real Europe; in general, and specifically in the hands of Clay. Boy, were we happy with the results. In our opinion the beauty of the Go Real Europe model is twofold. Number one being the customer-specific itinerary with no tour buses or group tours. Secondly, attention to detail. The customer-specific itinerary is tailor-made to individual tastes and travel plans as opposed to form-fitting individuals into a pre-established mold. The attention to detail removes, in our humble opinion, the issues which can cause the most anxiety to travelers. We had no worries about hotel reservations, transportation arrangements, travel guide bookings and no worries about itinerary details. Again I reiterate that Go Real is simply the best and there is no one in second place. We did not have one hiccup worth mentioning and did we mention what an incredible job Clay did in creating and supporting us all along the way. Clay even arranged to have brunch with us whilst we were in Prague. Clay you are a credit to your company. We simply cannot wait for the opening up of new destinations in your portfolio. Thanks for making a couple of Canadian travelers delighted with their adventure. P.S. Get good walking shoes. We put over 200 km in 18 [...read more] "
" Clay helped us plan a recent trip to Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. Every driver and tour guide was prompt and courteous. The tour guides were knowledgeable and approachable. All hotels were conveniently located and included appetizing breakfasts. Our only difficulty was following the map in Vienna and got lost a bit. The directions for getting to Melk from Vienna we’re not as easy as most directions in packet. Some suggestions for Go Real...Review the subway info on what the overhead signs should say (leaving from Karlsplatz) and give more specifics on how many flights to travel up or down once reaching the train station. We missed a train because we couldn’t find anyone who understood English well enough to help us. Also, emphasize that cruises do not leave every hour on the hour, but rather, are limited times so travelers know they must plan accordingly (we thought the schedule included was a partial one). Once we arrived in Melk, we were directed to the large cruise ship area instead of the area for small boats...the signs were unclear. We loved the cruise from Melk to Krems but because of train delay and misdirections, we had no time to visit the monastery. Although we had some traveling issues, we loved all we did in Vienna. The entire trip was professionally planned for us and we look forward to our next Go [...read more] "
" My husband and I had never travel to Europe so were very apprehensive on how to go about planning our trip. We did not want to do a trip where we were on a tour bus 24/7. I fell upon this site in a google search, and it was the best thing I could have done. As soon as I put in my tentative itinerary, I received an email from Martin and then a phone call. I honestly didn't expect to hear from a real person. He helped me to hone our trip to what my husband and I wanted to see and do. The private tours were absolutely amazing. The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable and showed us parts of the cities we were visiting that I don't think we would have seen if we were part of a large tour group. The hotel accommodations were top notch as well and the train travel was a great way to see the country. I can't say enough about this site. I will definitely [...read more] "
